I use a Home Assistant Green ($159 - Amazon.com) to run Home Assistant and other services like Uptime Kuma at home.
While the Home Assistant Yellow can directly be powered by PoE (Power over Ethernet), the Green model does not have native support. You can, however, buy a PoE splitter to run your Home Assistant Green.
The model that I use is this 2.5G PoE Splitter 12V/1A, DC 5.5 * 2.1mm ($12.89 - Amazon.com), which matches the wattage and barrel type of the HA Green.
You can buy any model of splitter, just make sure it matches these specs:
- DC barrel connector, 5.5 mm * 2.1 mm
- 12 V DC
- 1 A
